The POST Workshop is modeled on the Los Altos Workshop on Software Testing, LAWST. There are now over ten LAWST inspired workshops held internationally including:
- Toronto Workshop on Software Testing, TWST
- Indianapolis Workshop on Software Testing, IWST
- Workshop on Teaching Software Testing, WTST
- Workshop on Performance & Reliability, WOPR
- Workshop on Regulated Software Testing, WREST
- Bangalore Workshop on Software Testing, BWST

As POST workshops aim to be highly interactive, the size is limited to a maximum of 20 enthusiastic people to allow for effective contribution and facilitation. Workshop attendance is by invitation only to ensure a high level of participation and professional commitment.
If you are thoughtful and passionate about the practice of software testing, and are interested in sharing your insights and experiences, then the POST Workshop is for you! If you are interested in attending, contact the workshop organizers for more information.

Announcing the January 17th Session
Quality Processes in Agile Projects
Presented by Janet Gregory, DragonFire Inc.
In 1982, W. Edward Deming identified 14 key principles for business effectiveness. Janet will discuss how these principles are alive and well in effective agile projects. Many teams struggle to introduce agile by adhering to specific practices rather than have an understanding of basic quality principles that agile methodologies support. Janet will compare and contrast Deming’s principles with agile principles and practices.

December Discussion Group A Great Success!
The December session made a return to SQDG's discussion format on the topic "Do Testers Need to be Technical?". The session was a great success with 24 engaging folks braving the chilly weather to gather and talk about testing.
This was the first time SQDG used the Colored Cards Facilitation technique. This facilitation technique allows for diverse conversation on the topic and ensures everyone has an opportunity to speak. The feedback from the attendees on the facilitated format was overall very positive.
We are holding a series of sessions this season geared to discussion including our February, April, May and June sessions. Check out the 2011/2012 Season Schedule page for more details.
